The Gift of Wisdom. The words on both figures reveal the responses I received about aging and older adults.
Responses from the younger generation on the young figure and responses from older adults on the adult figure. The younger figure is in mainly white/black (blank slate ..open to skewed perceptions, etc.) while the older figure is rich in colors that represent the richness of life experiences and the words that reflect these perceptions. These are the 'gifts'. The crowns are metaphors for the brain and reflect the younger underdeveloped passive brain with that of an older active brain in creative mode.

The Gift of Wisdom is a collaborative exhibition that first debuted at the Oregon Museum of Science and Technology in Portland, Oregon, and later showcased at the National Center for Creative Aging's International Conference in Washington, DC.
