Cheryl Rogers- Tadevich

Cheryl Rogers-Tadevich is an innovative artist with a wonderful history of exploring traditional and contemporary methods of fiber arts.  Rogers-Tadevich brings a depth of knowledge and passion to her teaching process.

Cheryl’s artistic journey began to flourish after moving to Southeast Asia. She had the privilege to learn from the Great Artisans.  She also had the opportunity to live and travel the world taking every opportunity to learn, study, teach and exhibit her work with internationally renowned artists from many cultures.

Teaching and related experience

2016- present    GOLDEN Artist Educator     Traveling artist/Oregon
Conducting workshops pertaining to traditional and contemporary Batik, Shibori, and Block print as well as image transfer techniques, printmaking and mixed media.

2011- 2018 The Geezer Gallery
As Director of Programs and Creativity for the Geezer Gallery, Cheryl co-created, developed and implemented two innovative curriculums, Capturing Time and Vibrant Elders. These programs are now being used in research trials funded by Oregon Health and Sciences University to document the effects of creative activities on the health and wellness of elders.
